SWEP showcases District Energy innovation at Futurebuild Conference
SWEP will have a major presence at Futurebuild, taking place at London’s ExCel from 1 to 3 March.
Futurebuild provides a showcase for some of the most innovative technology, products and services across the construction sector. SWEP is one such innovator, a leader on the road to sustainable energy use, pioneering the development of gasket-free BPHEs widely used in District Energy and HVAC applications.
Christer Frennfelt, SWEP Business Development Manager, Consultants & Utility, commented:
“SWEP’s BPHE technology facilitates efficient heat transfer in district heating networks as well as in gas boilers, heat pumps, solar heating and decentralised heating technologies. And at this time of soaring energy costs, the company’s BPHEs can contribute to the simultaneous production of electricity, by recovering excess heat from district heating networks for use in industrial applications.”
He added “It’s great for SWEP to be back at Futurebuild and to be part of the UKDEA pavilion. My colleagues and I very much looking forward to meeting our customers and contacts, old and new.”
Also to be featured are SWEP’s range of BPHEs that keep tap water applications running efficiently for longer. This is achieved with SWEP Sealix® coating, a revolutionary SiO₂-based thin-film technology that increases BPHE corrosion resistance, decreases the tendency for fouling and scaling and increases durability.
The stand will also highlight SWEP 2-stage BPHE units that combine two units with a sophisticated control system, allowing returned water from a radiator circuit heat exchanger to be used to preheat water for domestic or industrial use.
SWEP will be in stand AA25 in the District Energy Pavilion, hosted by the UK District Energy Association (UKDEA)
